Blind Dates and Farm Animals

So I thought I would share a funny story that happened to me quite a long time ago... 


There was a period of about 6 months that Paul and I had taken a break back in the day... Well a co-worker of mine thought that he would set me up on a blind date with a guy he knew from the gym... In talking to him through emails, I found that we had actually gone to the same high school and had grown up in the same small town. He was just about 3 years older than I was. 


Anyway, we decided to double date with my co-worker and his date... We get to the pool hall and I meet J. 
J is one of those people that makes you laugh with everything that he says... You instantly feel like you have known the guy for years. We find that we have a few friends in common from school and have a lot to talk about. 


Throughout the night, I would turn to pick up my beer and find a plastic farm animal sitting on top... A sheep here, a pig there... Everytime I would turn around I'd find a new farm friend... 


Now some people may find this a little strange, but I thought it was genius! What a great icebreaker and I even had a little gift to take home and remind me of my first blind date ever. 


J and I are still friends to this day and he is such a great person who I adore!!! While picking up some of my kids plastic animal toys, it reminded me of my blind date with the farm animals!
