At 96 years old, my grandfather still drives (pretty well), ballroom dances, and has pool parties (ok, not on a regular basis but my cousin had a pool party to celebrate Grandpa's bday).
We had a great time since we don't see that side of the family but a couple times a year. Unfortunately my two nieces and one nephew weren't able to be there as they all just started the new school year at SDSU and had many things to do. Which by the way, my youngest niece (a Freshman at SDSU) just got into her sorority of choice. Go girlie!!!

My cousin had a great idea and had us all participate in a game called, "How Well Do You Know Grandpa". Unfortunately I failed miserably... but it was awesome to hear all of his answers. A great question that was asked was, "What was your favorite time of your life?" and he answered the age 72 which is when he started to ballroom dance. My dad made the joke of, "well I am sure mom wouldn't like that answer (she's been gone for 24 years now). So he did adjust his answer and say, "Oh and being married was a great time in my life" (ok you redeemed yourself Gramps). He then went on to tell us that he misses Grandma and sometimes in his old age now thinks of her very often and sometimes cries (my heart literally broke). But in true Grandpa fashion, he then said, but I always had to act more conservative around her, now I am an animal! Hahaha. He also made sure to tell each and every one of us that he was proud of us.

It was a great day seeing everyone that was able to come and my cousin has a beautiful house where the kids swam and had a great time.

On the way down the hill from my cousin's house, we hit PCH and just as the sun was going down, we saw 3 dolphins jumping and playing right off the shore.
I love my Grandpa! He's funny, loving, and quite a character!

Wow, great blog! I'm impressed at how fast you put this together! Your kids are adorable and we all had a great time with them and the family. Did you see the cutest moment? In your last picture, your mom is smiling because I was taking a picture of the girls. My daughter bent down to get cheek to cheek with your daughter. Seeing that, your daughter followed suit and bent down as well :-) E.K.
