That year the hubs had a job up in Fresno and stayed out there for a while. He usually works locally (or at least somewhere where he comes home every night) so the furry kids weren't used to him being gone. I remember him calling me every night to talk about his day, and say goodnight..... to the dogs =)
I would hold up the cordless phone to Tank's ear and she would sit and listen while cocking her head from side to side. This may seem funny to you but Tank was a huuuuge daddy's girl and I think it made her feel at ease that she got to hear her dad's voice before bed. Of course, Havok wouldn't sit still long enough to listen to the phone, or he was trying to figure out how he could get the phone out of my hands and eat it.
Since then, all three dogs have passed and we miss them all (yes even Skeeter).
It's funny how just a little FB status can bring up old amazing memories. I now have a warm happy feeling and a smile on my face!

We were the same way! Lots of fur kids before the real thing. On another note-When I put together the kids scrap books (really shutterfly photo books that I have done each year) I have included pics of all the pets that we have-knowing that in a few years they will be gone (we have a old crew of four legged friends currently) and the kids will barely have a memory of them b/c they are so young. Very sad since they play such a big part in their day to day lives right now.

Aww, pretty Boxers! The white one reminds me of my sister's dog, Highway.
