So my oldest is 4... She is a drama queen, she is a blabber mouth, she is an exaggerator, she is a pain in my buns & she is a sweetheart! I love her to death, but oh my gosh, can you really get hurt that often? And do you really need to bawl like you just lost a limb?
She hurts herself sitting on the couch!
Boogie- "Owwwwwwww, I hurt my eyeeeeeeee!"
Me- "How did you hurt your eye while sitting on the couch?"
Boogie- "I poked myself in the eye with a Barbie" "Waaaah"
Me- "Oh well that makes sense, I do that all of the time"
Boogie- "Huh"?
Guess sarcasm is lost on a 4 year old!
She hurts herself in the car....
Boogie- "Owwwwwaaaaahhhhhh, my finger hurts!"
Me- "How did you hurt your finger?
Boogie- "I got it caught in the middle seatbelt"
Me- "Um okay"
She gets hurt getting into bed...
Boogie- "Owwwwchhhhhh, I hurt my headdddddd!
Hubs- "What happened my darling princess poo?" "Are you okay"
Boogie- "I hit my head on the headboard"!
Hubs- "Oh my gosh, are you going to be okay?" *cuddle* *panic* *promising her a new car tomorrow*
Oh wait, now I understand why she is such a whiny baby!!!!! It all makes sense now!

LOL, the dadfolk always fall for the drama. I can so relate, too -- I've always said that Sophia, my own sweet little drama queen, doesn't seem to think there is a difference between mild discomfort and excruciating pain (her reaction is the same) -- Often times, she takes things even a step or two further and will cry for ALMOST hurting herself (Sophie: "*hysterical crying* Oh my God -- Did you see that? DID YOU?" Me: "Did I see what? I saw you almost fall. I'm glad you didn't, but why are you crying?" Sophie: "Because I COULD have fallen -- It was REALLY scary! *more hysterics*).
