".... AND IT'S HARD TO HOLD A CANDLE, IN THE COLD NOVEMBER RAIN"

As the lyrics to Guns N Roses November Rain were running through my head...

Things were looking a little bleak for all of us yesterday while we were getting ready in the hotel. It was a torrential downpour (well as torrential as it gets in San Diego) outside and my sister in law was set to be married OUTSIDE on the bay in a few hours.

Being cold was the least of our worries... Being soaked was a huge worry! Luckily Mary had some of the greatest bridesmaids and they went ahead and took charge... They called the Sheridan hotel and asked them if we would be able to use their ballroom for the wedding. Thank goodness they weren't booked and we were able to switch everything over in the last 2 hours. The florists, the families and bridesmaids all worked so hard and so fast.... and it was perfect!

It turned out beautiful! I know it wasn't what Mary had envisioned when she was planning her big day out on the bay during sunset with the skyline behind her... but I must say, it was perfect and I know she was happy.

The bridesmaids (two of which are 8 months pregnant) all stayed dry and happy in their 4 inch heals, the flower girls (one was my little Boogie girl and the other was my neice) were able to be mud free in their floor length white dresses with white sandals... and the bride looked amazingly beautiful!

We had a blast~ Congrats to my sister in law and new brother in law! We love you!
