That movie for me, is The NeverEnding Story. I remember the very first time that I saw that movie. I was about 5 yrs old and up in Northern California at my Aunt and Uncle's house. The house with the green carpet (that is what I called that house).
My Aunt put on a movie that she'd thought I'd love. I did love the movie... well most of the movie. I was horribly afraid of G'Mork the wolf. But my love for Falcor far outweighed my fear and this movie has been a huge part of my life since. In fact, it was one of the very first gifts my hubs bought me when we were dating... he bought The NeverEnding Story for me on DVD. *SWOON*
The characters are just so amazing! I love Falcor obviously (as does anyone who has eyeballs)!!!! He's my very favorite!!!!
Falcor
Then there is Morla who is amazing!!!! ( I nicknamed a guy in my algebra class in HS Morla cause he was allergic to my friends perfume and sneezed everyday)
Morla
I can't help but love love love the Rockbiter. He's so sweet! I totally cry when he tries to save his little friends and isn't able to.
Rockbiter
The Nighthob- What can I say... The guy has a bat for godsakes!!!! Awesome!
The Nighthob
Teeny Weeny and The Racing Snail- he's like a little Mad Hatter... they are so little but have such large hearts!
Teeny Weeny & The Racing Snail
Oh and one of my favorite artists did a painting of The NeverEnding Story and I want a copy soooo badly!
Do you have any movies from childhood that mean as much to you still to this very day?

I hate to admit this but I have NEVER since the NeverEnding Story.

The Never Ending Story is one of my all time favorites too. Sebastian screaming at the end and the princess asking him to give her a name. Wow! Makes me cry everytime.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have been wanting to show this to my kids. I need to see if Blockbuster has it.
ReplyDeleteI love this movie too!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger, I couldn't get enough of Pee-Wee,
and Revenge of the Nerds. They just don't make movies these days like they used to.

I haven't watched the Neverending Story since I was a kid. I only remember bits and pieces of it. I need to rewatch it for sure.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite movies was The Little Princess (the newer one, not Shirley Temple). It still makes me cry to this day.
One of our favorites too!
ReplyDeleteI watched this movie like a thousand times.
ReplyDeleteMom says her has never seen dis movie :(
ReplyDeleteWoofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
Goonies never say die! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, this movie was pretty awesome. When my dog gets her hair cut, she looks just like Falcor. Had I known that? We so would've named her Falcor. But no, now we have a Lola. Whatevs.
