Goodbye Sweet Emmitt

We are very sad to say "goodbye" to our friend Emmitt over at Life is Art... Art is Life. Melissa and Emmitt were one of my first blog followers and have been great bloggy/facebook friends. Melissa also is the one that made Lola's awesome sweater and were part of our Valentine's Day exchange.

We know that Bacon, Curly Bill, Pricilla and other puggys of the past welcomed sweet Emmitt over the bridge with open paws and will gladly show him the ropes.

Emmitt, we know that you parents will miss you terribly but are glad you are rid of your earthly pains.

Here is a photo of Lola in her new sweater from Emmitt's mom over at Life Is Art... Art Is Life. How cute is it? I promise to get better pictures! I am so impressed by Emmitt's mom Melissa... Not only is the sweater beautifully made, it was here in record time and was here the day before Christmas... What timing huh?!?!? I wasn't really expecting it until January! Lola was quite excited!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

The Tooth Fairy Can't Afford To Visit Poor Lola Tonight

The tooth fairy will not be visiting Lola tonight. She can't afford to after today's vet bill.... Let's start by saying that I am a bad bad mama! I haven't taken Lola for a teeth cleaning since we adopted her 3 1/2 years ago... I noticed that she had stinky breath lately but not horrible... I kept putting off her cleaning... I finally made the appointment and (get ready to hate me), she had to have 7 teeth removed... I feel horrible!!! Bad bad mommy!

So $400 later, she is resting comfortably on the ottoman. Here are some iphone pics I got of her today. Sorry for the quality.
