This year I am very happy with myself. I am almost done!!!! I decided that I would get a few things here and there and put them away so I wouldn't be so overwhelmed at the last minute.
The hubs got home kind of early yesterday so I decided to head out and finish my shopping. I went to Toys R Us first because they had the Tangled Tower on sale for $83 instead of $139.99. Well of course that must have only been for a minute because when I got there, it was back to it's original price. Grrrrr! I checked Walmart on my phone and saw that they had it for $93 but the closest one was a few towns over. No biggy!!! I threw a few things in my cart, checked out and headed to the dreaded Walmart (hey that is a big price difference... I'll suck it up!).
I finally get over there and my phone rings... It's my brother... he says, "Hey can we get Boogey the Tangled Tower for Xmas?" What timing huh? "Uh sure" I say... Turns out that it's the Tangled Tower table and chairs set which is different from the Tangled Tower that I had been searching for. So it all worked out. I bought a few more things there and decided to hit Super Target on the way home.
Now since Boogey was getting the Tangled Tower for her Santa gift this year, I knew that I wanted to get Beakey some sort of "ride on" type of toy. He's kind of at a point where he is stuck in the middle though. Most of the reasonably priced "ride on" toys are 1-3 yrs. and he's almost 2 1/2. Sooo, why waste the money on something he is going to grow out of... I really wanted to get him a battery powered quad or car but for his size... they start at about $200 and that was more than I wanted to spend. So I ended up getting him a tricycle instead... Kind of cool though. It's Cars themed and makes noises (which I am sure will drive me insane in about a month), and lights up.
This is not my child... But this is the trike!

Now this IS my child on a bike that he wishes was his but is way to big and complex for his 2 1/2 yr old self.
The rest of the stuff was pretty easy. Beakey likes anything car, train, boat, and plane-like. So a few Thomas the Train tracks and accessories, Scooby Doo toys, a Winter jacket, new jammies, etc. Boogie is even easier... This year she is all about, can you guess..... yes Tangled!!! She loves all things girlie! She also had signed up for T ball this coming Spring so we bought her, her glove, bat, helmet, bat bag (all in pink of course). They are freaking adorable... I must admit!
Cute right???? I love Target! Ohhhhhh, I even bought myself a fun furry ear flappy hat!!!! The hubs acts like he's embarrassed but I am pretty sure he likes it. Maybe not. Anywho.... I am pretty much done shopping, most of the presents are wrapped, Boogie has her little pre school Christmas performance tomorrow, I just have a little more baking to do (for humans and furries), an early Xmas morning with the in-laws, a Christmas party to attend (gonna get my sexy on bwwaahaaaahhaaa), and we're ready!!! Woohooo!!! Happy Holidays!!!
Oh yeah, head on over to Melissa and Emmitt's blog... We just ordered a super cute sweater for Lola. Can't wait to see her in it!!! Of course we will post tons of cuteness pics!!!! Don't you worry!

I got into the early shopping thing with my first pregnancy...my son was born the first week of January, so I wanted to be done before I went into labor (totally nesting)...since then I've been hooked! Isn't it nice to be done (for the most part) and enjoy the week of Christmas doing other things than waiting in line at crazy busy stores?!
ReplyDeleteAs always...I love your blog Kellee!
Wow great job on all the early Christmas! I am almost done! Ive been collecting gifts for months for the hounds :)
ReplyDeleteI did most of my shopping online this year because I found some great deals (and went a little overboard still...), so I think I'm done. Well, actually I have like two more gifts to get so I better get on that. All those toys look so cool. Makes me wish I had kids or was an aunt so I could play with the toys too!! :)
