Growing up my parents drove us to Colorado every summer, and they always had a cabin in Big Bear and so we always had a mountain get-a-way... Well for some reason, they decided to sell it when us kids got older (you know the perfect time for our parents to actually have a cabin since both of their children snowboard!).
So last year, the hubs surprised us with a Big Bear Chalet (I have to ad the word "chalet" or he get's very upset) trip. It was such a relaxing vacation!!!! The kids had a blast and Lola some time away. Well we don't have a trip like that planned for this year and I am having serious mountain withdrawls!!!!
I keep searching the web for specials to Steamboat Springs, Breckenridge, Jackson Hole, Park City, etc.... I just love mountain towns! Well those are all out of our budget for this year (and probably the next few years), so I think we are going to try to book a cabin in Big Bear again but probably around March. Until then.... here are some pictures from last years trip!

We've got tons of snow, and Park City (the town, as well as the ski area) is doing killer deals before the holidays. Early January is always good, too. Just saying... We'll keep posting snow/mountain pictures if that will help with the withdrawal! ;-)

We love the mountain towns too! We have spent many a vacation in Park City, Sun Valley and Banff Canada. With this economy, we stay closer to home....and pray for snow!!
