Never Forget

I know that the words 'Never Forget' aren't creative but they are important and they are so meaningful! Why change them? As everyone knows, tomorrow marks a very very important day in our history. One we will never ever forget! It's been 10 years since that horrific day.

Do you know where you were? I was living at home with my parents and my mom came running in yelling at me to turn on my television. I turned it on while I was getting ready for work. Those are moments that seemed to stand still.

Even though my kids weren't born yet and don't understand what happened, this weekend we will make special time to let them know it is very important to honor some very special people who were selfless and courageous, who showed honor above anything else. We will teach our children that they can do an extra special good deed in memory of all of those special people.

There is a site called 911day.org where you can even describe your good deed that you will do in honor of the 9/11 victims, survivors and those that selflessly rushed to help anyone and everyone that they could.

That day 10 years ago made me realize how important it was, to not take being an American for granted. How lucky I was, to have been born in this amazing country! How proud I am of my United States of America!

My heart breaks for all of those who have lost someone close to them and have to relive this tragedy on a more personal level every day but especially on this day every year.

God Bless America!
