Pumpkin Fun
This year we decided to let the kids paint their own pumpkins... So we bought some craft paint and a bag full of brushes and let them go crazy! They had a good time making a mess and getting hosed off afterwards (good thing it's about 80 degrees today).

Pumpkin Patch Trip #2
We just love everything about the pumpkin patch and try to spend as much free time there in the Fall as possible! The hubs is NEVER home on weekdays so when he told us that he had Friday off, we took the opportunity to go and enjoy cool weather and the non-crowdedness...
Hahaha yah right, it was packed with schools on field trips. Oh well, we still had a blast... Enjoy a few photos.
Got my ducks in a row!
This goose was the pigs protector... Honking anytime someone came to pet him.
They were letting me know how uninteresting I was
He didn't want the goat food... He wanted Boogie's granola bar

Right after this, he fell

Off To The Nut Farm
No, I am not being committed (although I probably should be)~ We tagged along with our dear friends to Bates Nut Farm up in Valley Center. This is one of our favorite places any time of year but especially when the pumpkin patch portion opens!
Since the hubs has gone out to the river to pick up our boat, I packed up the kids and headed out.
It was a brisk 90 degrees with little to no breeze... It's hard to look at pumpkins and frolic through the cornfields when you are sweating and your makeup is melting off of your face and into your eyes. I am pretty sure that pushing a wheel barrel was a bad idea since I nearly gave up in the middle of the field and took a nap. Oh well, we had fun and picked out 6 pumpkins. This is where I admit that I have a problem. A big problem. I am obsessed with pumpkins. The hubs usually tells me in the car, "You can only pick out 2". If I had my way, we would rent a trailer to bring home our wonderful orange balls of delight! So today I let the kids each pick out a regular sized one and 2 small ones. I know we will go back a few times before Halloween so there will be plenty of time to overload my front porch with pumpkins.
